OLFACTORY FLASHBACK

The term olfactory flashback is indebted to the Latin verbol(e)facere, which means to smell. In the literature on *post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) the term olfactory flashback is used to denote an infrequently reported type of * flashback, taking the form of an * olfactory hallucination that mimics a smell previously experienced during a traumatic event.
