ERETHIC HALLUCINATION

The term erethic hallucination is indebted to the Greek verberethizein, which means to irritate, to provoke, to enrage. It was used by the German psychiatrist Karl Ludwig Kahlbaum (1828-1899) to denote a hallucination elicited under the influence of a person's affective state.
