beautiful actress, on-screen from the early '30s until the late 1950s. Played a number of leads, but was also frequently cast as femme fatales. Zea also taught physical education and dance, and led a folkloric dance troupe. For some reasons, numerous printed sources had listed her as deceased since 1957, but according to the Filmoteca de la UNAM, she actually passed away on 27 December 2002.
