the youngest of 8 Soler children, Mercedes Soler made her screen debut in 1933, and appeared in about 2 dozen movies over the next 25 years. She married actor Alejandro Ciangherotti and two of their sons went on to significant acting careers: Alejandro Ciangherotti Jr. and Fernando Luján.
