Irish actor, originally in British cinema, who relocated to Hollywood in the '50s. O'Herlihy starred in Luis Buñuel'sRobinson Crusoe(for which he received a 1954 Best Actor Oscar - not Ariel - nomination), and also appeared inTehuantepec(1953: O'Herlihy played Eduardo Fajardo's role in the English-language version of the picture) andThe Big Cube(1968) in Mexico.
