originally trained as a dancer, Norma Angélica later attended the ANDA acting school and made her film debut in the late 1950s. Her parts gradually increased in size and importance; for her role inTlayucan(1961), she won a Diosa de Plata. However, in December 1962 Norma Angélica's career came to an end when she committed suicide.
