CASANOVA, FERNANDO

(Fernando Gutiérrez López)
(1925 - )
husky leading man, chiefly in Westerns and rancheras. Casanova appeared as an extra as early as 1946, but began receiving leading roles in the early 1950s, notably in a series of pictures as "El Aguila Negra" (The Black Eagle), a Zorro/Lone Ranger clone. He has continued to work into the 1990s, still in action films but now playing character roles.
