MEKETRE

Chancellor at the end of Dynasty 11 and possibly the beginning of Dynasty 12. He was buried at Deir elBahri, and his tomb was excavated by an expedition from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1921. Among the objects discovered were fine models of activities of daily life, which are a feature of tombs of the Middle Kingdom.
