Ancient Egypt

INTEF III

(reigned c. 2063–2055 BC)
Successor and presumably son of Intef II of Dynasty 11 and the lady Nefru. Horus name Nakhtnebtepnefer. Little is known of his brief reign except that a famine occurred in the region of Abydos. He too was buried in a rock-cut tomb at Thebes. He married the lady Iah, by whom he had his son and successor, Mentuhotep II, who conquered the rest of Egypt and ended the First Intermediate Period.
