The Dance of Yamato. A form of dance performed at court and during festivals as early as the fourth century. It forms part of thekagurarepertoire. Yamato-mai songs are used at shrines includingIse jinguand at other shrines, such as the Oyama Afuri Jinja, Kanagawa and theKasuga taisha.
