NOGI JINJA

The Nogi jinja in Minato-ku, Tokyo enshrines the renowned general Nogi, Maresuke who committed ritual suicide (seppuku) with his wife on the death of theMeijiemperor. There are three further Nogi shrines in places connected with his life, all erected between 1915-1919.
