An earlyTokugawaperiod practitioner ofYoshida Shinto. Based in Kyoto, he was the teacher ofYoshikawa, Koretariand in 1656 initiated him into the secret'himorogi iwasaka'initiation, appointing him successor in the Yoshida Shinto line.
